Commercial Dance Companies

The Project Female Commercial Dance Companies specialise in creating unique routines for performance.

The aim is to empower young people to express themselves through commercial dance.

Each company creates dynamic routines and performs at shows and sporting events.

Commercial dance can be criticised as over-sexualising young girls. This is why we have four age appropriate commercial dance companies.

Each company performs age appropriate dance moves. This means no floor work for the 12-15 year olds and we don’t teach commercial dance to under 12 years.

Each week dancers:

  • learn new routines

  • develop performance skills

  • improve technique

  • prepare dancers to perform for the camera.

Dance Ambassadors

Through our outreach programme with Brighton Youth Centre, in partnership with South East Dance, members of our 16+ Commercial Dance Company teach commercial dance.

Our Dance Ambassadors empower other young people to develop confidence, and express themselves through commercial dance.

Through regular mentorship with Artistic Director Ellie Bishop-Williams, our Dance Ambassadors develop leadership skills through creating and teaching their own choreography.

“I feel that in most dance companies your set on one style, but we really are exposed to a range of styles which I think is really cool.”
